The Stouts were another one of the 52 Salem-area homeowners that took advantage of the Solarize Salem program that offered bulk pricing for pv installations through the Salem Creative Network. RS Energy provided the install of a 9.8 kW system using SolarWorld modules, a PV Powered inverter and Sun Storage racking. The array squeaked into the October 1 feed-in-tariff pilot program which closed within five minutes, due to the nimble fingers of Ron and a quick internet connection. Now the Stouts will receive monthly payments from PGE for the electricity they produce for the next 25 years.
